Propellerhead Announces The Big Sounds Championships
Stockholm, October 26st, 2006 (ictw)
Propellerhead is pleased to announce The Big Sounds Championships. Now is the time for Reason users to share their Biggest Sounds for the Combinator with the user community
.Propellerhead's Reason 3 introduced the Combinator device which allows for creating the most complex combinations of Reason Devices into one easy to use instrument. The Combinator is a sophisticated device that allows you to build elaborate chains of Reason units - instruments, effects, pattern sequencers, you name it - and save as Combi patches. When a Combi patch is opened, all units in the created setup are instantly loaded, complete with sounds, settings and routings. With its ability to load up complex instruments routed through effect units and dynamic processors in one go, the Combinator is an extremely playable, extremely performance-friendly device, perfect for both stage and studio use.
The contest is divided into three categories:
- November 1st - Big Lead! contest closes November 10, 12 pm CET
- November 15th - Big Pad! contest closes November 24, 12 pm CET
- November 29th - Plain Huge! contest closes December 8, 12 pm CET
The patches will be rated by a panel of judges, and a winner and runner ups will be selected for each category.
The prize for the first leg of the contest is a pair of Beyerdynamic DT 770 Pro Headphones along with some Propellerhead gear . For details, rules and to enter visit www.propellerheads.se

Back in 1994 three guys in Stockholm figured out a new way to slice loops that changed the way people made music. That was the start of what is now called Reason Studios. We care about music. And we want to help music makers express themselves. We want you to find your own voice – to sound like you.
