Propellerheads Appoints Gerry Bassermann As Director of North American Markets

Industry Veteran and Software Expert Brings Wealth of Product Knowledge And Marketing Expertise

Stockholm, Sweden (January 29, 2007) – Propellerhead Software is pleased to announce the appointment of Gerry Bassermann as Director of North American Markets. As Director Bassermann will serve as the Propellerhead cultural ambassador to the US and Canada, helping to spread the brand, image and goodwill in the territory, as well as act as a hub for all North American sales & marketing activity, driving PR, artist relations, branding, corporate relations and other marketing activities with close coordination with the US distributor Line 6 and Canadian distributor Music Marketing. Bassermann is an industry veteran, musician, composer and sampling pioneer who has worked as product specialist for many iconic pro audio companies including E-mu, Opcode, Digidesign, Antares, Mackie and Zoom. He is the owner/operator of OpusNine, a music and sound design studio in the San Francisco Bay area, producing music and sound tracks for video, Internet and multimedia projects, and designs products and sounds for many electronic music companies. He’s authored articles for Keyboard, Electronic Musician and Mix magazines, and has taught electronic music at the University of California Santa Cruz for the past 12 years. Bassermann is a graduate of the Eastman School of Music, and holds advanced degrees in music composition, conducting and performance.
