Classix Nouveaux Les Synthesis is a compact but character-packed ReFill featuring a curated collection of raw, cold waveforms sampled from hardware synths by ourselves and our friend mr Void of the Gothenburg-based band Lejonhjärta.
The library draws its sound from Ensoniq SQ-80, Korg MS-20, Oberheim Matrix-6, Fairlight CMI IIx, Roland SH-101 and the Moog Prodigy. All machines sampled to preserve their distinctive post-punk character. Rather than overly polished modern presets, the focus here is on pure sonic building blocks loaded with texture, grit and personality.
Containing approximately 80 patches, all neatly organized by synthesizer model, Les Synthesis is designed as a creative waveform playground for Reason users who enjoy shaping their own sounds. The included patches provide an excellent starting point for exploring deeper programming possibilities within Europa, Grain, Mimic and other sampler-based instruments available in modern versions of Reason. A few ReDrum kits has been included as well.
Expect icy pads, a few fat Bitley pads, mechanical textures, acid inspired dark basses and the unmistakable aesthetic of classic post-punk from this fun little kit.
