SIDmaster is a virtual synthesizer emulating the SID 6581 sound chip of the popular Commodore 64 home computer of the eighties and nineties. The SID 6581 was capable of producing sounds many years ahead of any other computer at the time. SIDmaster has 3 voices which can be used to create monophonic sounds with 3 layers, or the it can operate in (3 voice) poly-phone mode using single layer sounds.
Although the synth looks compact and doesn't take much space in your rack, all registers of each of the 3 voices can be controlled simultaneously.
Besides simply emulating the SID chip, it also implements all kinds of effects that were popular in the days when musicians made game or demo tunes for the C64, to get greater sounds.
