POLYTONE EXPLORER contains wide cinematic atmospheres, rich ambient soundscapes, ethereal bells, experimental textures and abstract noises.
Despite Polytone’s relatively simple interface, there are complex depths to be explored, and this is the product of a deep investigation into what Polytone can do.
Every patch in the Refill is dual-layer, and in practice this means that you can use the A-B fader and modulation wheel to filter and morph the sound between the two layers in musical and creative ways. In some patches this is subtle, in others it’s radical, resulting in multiple sounds within a single patch.
Check out some of the patches - each demo is a single patch being morphed and filtered in realtime. The effects are Polytone’s built in chorus and reverb. No compression, equalizer or other effects were used.
