From a quiet fingerpicked melody to a full, ringing chord, Acustra responds to the way you play. Six physically modelled steel strings interact through a shared bridge and resonant body, generating every note in real time. Sympathetic resonance, changing attacks and overlapping notes emerge from the instrument itself.
Choose Finger, Pick or Thumb, then find your sound with Touch and Pluck Position. Softer notes retain their gentle character while carrying enough body to sit alongside stronger voices. Repeated strums keep subtle variations in timing and contact, with a more even level from stroke to stroke.
Explore four body shapes—Parlor, Auditorium, Dreadnought and Jumbo—with Spruce or Mahogany soundboards. Move from fresh, bright strings to a warmer, worn character with String Age. Standard, Drop D, DADGAD and Open G tunings open up different chord shapes and musical colours.
Capture the guitar through stereo microphones, a mono microphone or an under-saddle piezo pickup. Blend the piezo beneath the microphones, try its polarity switch to change their combined sound, or route the dedicated PIEZO output for separate processing. Add a little Room for space around the microphones.
Bring the performance to life with palm muting, vibrato, pitch bends and selectable strum direction. Sustain is available from the panel, a pedal or a keyswitch. Optional Detune introduces subtle pitch differences between played notes, while the animated fretboard shows which strings are held, ringing or responding sympathetically.
Eight factory patches provide starting points for intimate fingerstyle, bright picked parts, muted rhythms and piezo-led arrangements.
