Analog warmth, vintage tube mojo
Give drums more body, bass more richness and your mix the harmonic color associated with vintage tube equalizers. EQP1 pairs musical program-EQ curves with tube-inspired saturation, bringing warmth and character to individual tracks and buses. Keep the EQ flat to enjoy its color alone, or shape the tone and push the harmonics together.
Open Advanced. Push the character.
EQP1’s signature Advanced panel lets you take the character beyond a restrained hardware-style response. Turn up Color and compensated Drive for more pronounced saturation, focus its weight with Bass, and explore the harmonic balance with Asym. Recovery and Time let you exaggerate how the modeled color stage settles after transients.
Bring analog imperfections into the sound, too. Raise Noise and 50/60 Hz Hum from a faint background texture to an audible part of the effect, or switch both off. From rounded tube-style warmth to deliberately gritty coloration, Advanced puts the amount of mojo in your hands.
Shape the tone
Build low-end weight with separate Boost and Atten controls, then use them together to sculpt the contour. Add presence or air with high-frequency boost, choose a sharp or broad curve, and soften the top with independent high attenuation. Input and output trims help you manage levels and compare settings.
Built for the rack
- A four-unit front panel expands to six units when Advanced is open.
- Standard Reason On / Off / Bypass, patch browsing, automation and Remote mappings.
- Stereo audio routing, with a left/mono input.
- Four starting patches: Baseline, Color, Low & Warm and Open Air.
- 1x, 8x and 16x oversampling at 44.1/48 kHz; multipliers adapt at higher session rates.
Choose oversampling while stopped. The 1x setting adds no processing latency; higher settings trade more CPU and latency for reduced aliasing. Use the output trim for level-matched comparisons.
