Sometimes a sound is just a little too clean.

Degrader is made for those moments. Throw it on a synth, drum loop, vocal, sample or bus and give it some age, dirt, wobble or outright damage. Maybe it needs the sound of a worn cassette. Maybe some dusty vinyl, cheap digital crunch, tape wobble or a glitch that hits right on the beat.

There are 16 modes across four families: Tape, Digital, Noise and Glitch. Each mode has the same three simple controls: Amount decides how much happens, Tone colours the result, and Style changes its character.

Pick a mode, turn a knob and see where it takes you.

The built-in LFO can move Amount, Tone and Style independently, either synced to your song or running free. Great for sounds that need to keep shifting, wobbling and falling apart.

Controls

Input and output level controls: −18 to +18 dB.

Amount, Tone and Style controls. Style behaves differently on either side of centre.

LFO with 7 shapes: Sine, Triangle, Ramp Up, Ramp Down, Square, Sample & Hold and Drift.

• Synced: 25 note values from 16/1 to 1/64, including dotted, triplet and odd values. Locked to song position while Reason is playing.
• Free: 0.05 to 60 Hz.
• Independent depth (±100%) and phase (0–360°) for Amount, Tone and Style.
