The next chapter for one of music’s most iconic DAWs, with a faster, more focused workflow built for creators.

STOCKHOLM, SWEDENMay 11, 2026—8:00PM CEST—Reason Studios today announced that Reason 14 is now available worldwide, following a public beta that generated strong engagement across its global community.Where the beta introduced what was changing, the launch is about what that change means. For longtime users, it’s a familiar platform that now moves with greater speed and clarity. For new users, it’s a DAW and plugin featuring dozens of distinctive instruments and effects, connected through the fun, flexible routing method unique to Reason—offered at the lowest price point in the company’s history.

What stood out during the beta was how quickly people adapted to the new workflow. That immediate response gave us confidence we were solving the right problems and moving Reason in the right direction.

Mattias Häggström Gerdt, Product Manager at Reason Studios

A community-driven release

The beta for Reason 14 became more than a testing phase; it sparked an active exchange between the product team and its users. Producers shared sessions, surfaced edge cases, and provided feedback that directly informed the final release.Beyond testing, the response signaled renewed confidence in the platform’s direction. For a community that has been deeply invested in Reason for years, that momentum represents an important shift.

Reason has always been a great creative tool, and 14 brings some exciting upgrades. Definitely loving the ability to have a rack per track now, making it similar to how you work in other DAWs, but with the flexibility that makes Reason special.

Jonny Grande, Grammy nominee and producer of multiple Billboard #1 hits

Reason is one of the unsung heroes of the production world—some of my favorite OG producers of all time are Reason users. The new Reason 14 upgrades bring it in line with modern workflows, helping you get to the sound you want faster.

Nico Hamui, multi-platinum engineer and producer

A platform in motion

Reason 14 introduces a redesigned track-centric workflow, numerous sequencer improvements, and the new RV-9 Reverb Station, part of a broader effort to evolve the platform more quickly and in closer alignment with its users.

This marks an important step in Reason’s evolution, with more to come from the platform that has shaped music creation for over two decades. Reason 14 marks the beginning of what’s next.
