Dub has always thrived on a handful of trusted tools used well: a synth for the bassline, a drum machine for the beat, and a couple of well-chosen effects to glue it all into space. The Digi Dub Deal packs exactly that kind of rig, digitized. Three distinct synth voices; ES-01’s deep analog character for classic basslines, ES10’s vintage tone for melodies and chords, and ES400’s four-operator FM for electric pianos and glassy bells – covers bass, skank and leads in three completely different flavors. SYNR handles the synth toms and spaced out percussion with homage-to-the-classics drum synthesis. BBD4A and Spring FX3180 provide bucket-brigade style warm echoes, and true spring reverb space. Six devices, one rack, everything you need to build a track from the bassline up.
