Håkan Müller, creator of the Hamu devices passed away in May 2018. He suffered from ALS for 3 years and finally decided to leave. To honor Håkan, you can use his Rack Extensions for free from now on. Please remember Håkan when you are inking your rack purple.

The Mesher devices combine CV splitting and merging, letting you control all your CV connections from front panel buttons or knobs.

The Mesher4K, a 4x4 knobs mixing panel, enables you to combine your CV signals any way you please, in a very flexible way.

Modulation sockets behind every mesh node, so you can use CV to control your CV amounts.

Product details

A MIXER PANEL FOR CONTROL VOLTAGES

The Mesher4K is basically a mixer panel with 4 by 4 knobs. On the input side there are four separate inputs, each with its own gain and shift knobs. Each input signal is connected to the mixer panel, where it's sent on to each of the four outputs. Each output has an additional gain knob before feeding the sockets.

THEN PLAY ON!

You can freely experiment with your connections, using the gain and shift knobs to achieve precise settings. Gain is adjustable between -2 and +2, while Shift adds a fixed voltage between -1V and +1V. The shift value is shown as note values (-127 to +127) to make it easier to shift note CV. In the mesh each of the knobs sets what amount of the input to add to the output. The span is from -1 to +1, where -1 will add the inverted input, 0 will add nothing and +1 will add the full input signal. When you find a combination you like, save it to a patch for future use!

USE EXTERNAL CV TO MIX

Every node in the mesh, as well as each gain and shift knob, has a modulation socket on the back panel. You can use these to mix your CV's in sync with other actions, and turn several knobs simultaneously to fine tune the result. And of course you can use Mesher outputs to control its internal knobs. Complicating connection setups can sometimes lead to pleasant surprises! By combining several Meshers, and using trigger devices like the MidiTapper, the options are endless.

SOME ADDITIONAL FEATURES

Additional features include:

  • Input and output tags. Very useful with saved patches.
  • Optionally quantize signal levels to note or gate standard (0-127).
  • Use 'n' or 'g' as first letter of tag to quantize and clamp any input or output.
  • Color coded cable indicator lamps show which sockets are used.
  • Plenty of meters and lamps for indication of signal levels.

Product page at hamu.se will provide more details.

The video on the side presents details of how a setup with several HaMu devices can be used to add functionality to a single, simple midi keyboard. Several Mesher units are included.
