Trixy XR Gate Generator

Trixy XR is Trixy X extended for patching, shaped by requests from Reason users on the forum. It is the same 32-step gate sequencer, with velocity, ties, per-step timing and probability, Random and seven colour schemes, plus three additions.

Clock modes. Run from the song tempo, from its own RATE anywhere between 0.1 Hz and 2 kHz with a Rate CV input, or from an external clock patched into Clock In.

Audio Out. The gate is also sent as a sample-accurate audio signal. At high rates the pattern becomes a waveform, so the rhythm turns into a tone, and Random changes the sound.

Step mutes and Step CV. Every step has a mute you can automate or map to a controller for live muting. On the back, 32 CV inputs, one per step, switch steps on and off or scale their velocity from other devices.

• External clock: one step per rising edge, step length from the measured clock interval
• Outputs: Gate Out (CV, level = velocity), Audio Out (mono, sample-accurate gate)
• Step CV In 1–32: unconnected = no effect; connected = velocity × CV, 0 = step off
• Step mutes: 32, automatable and Remote-mappable, pattern kept while muted
• Random: momentary button + Rand CV, Amount 0–100 %, applied on the next step boundary
• CV inputs: Clock In, Run In, Reset In, Length CV, Prob CV, Rand CV, Rate CV, Step CV 1–32
• Colour schemes: Red, Green, Blue, Yellow, Pink, Grey, Violet
