What's the difference between Reason and Reason Rack?
Reason includes both the Reason Rack plugin in VST3/AU/AAX format and the Reason DAW. Reason Rack only includes the plugin version of the Rack, it does not include the standalone DAW.

Can I upgrade to Reason Rack from a previous Reason version?
You can upgrade to Reason Rack from Reason 11 and later, including Reason 11 Suite. Reason Rack is a VST3/AU/AAX plugin that contains all devices included in Reason 14, it does not contain the standalone Reason DAW.
Can I try Reason or Reason Rack before purchasing it?
You can sign-up for a free 7-day trial of a Reason+ or Reason Rack subscription if you have not tried a subscription previously.In addition, Reason and Reason Rack have a 30-day return policy. This means that if you are not satisfied with your purchase, you are entitled to a full refund within the specified period, no questions asked.
Can I run Reason and Reason Rack without Internet connection?
Yes, Reason and Reason Rack automatically runs without an internet connection for at least 30 days after logging-in. Additionally, you may authorize up to 3 computers for up to 1 year at a time. Read more
Can I use Reason and Reason Rack on multiple computers?
Yes, you may use Reason and Reason Rack on as many computers as you like, as long as you're the only person using the software, and as long as you're only using it on one computer at a time.
Does Reason work with my MIDI keyboard / controller?
Yes, Reason works well with most MIDI keyboards and controllers. Many common models also have specific mapping (a.k.a. Remote) for controlling Reason and its Rack Devices. Support for new MIDI keyboards and controllers are continuously added.
Does Reason work on Linux, ChromeOS, Android or iOS?
No. Reason can only be used on Mac and Windows computers. See System Requirements for more information.
How often will I be charged for Reason+ and Reason Rack Subscription?
Your subscription starts with a 7-day free trial. You won't be charged during this period. After the trial ends, your subscription will automatically convert to the plan you selected when joining Reason unless you cancel before it expires.
As a monthly subscriber, you will be charged once a month. As an annual subscriber, you will be charged once a year. Charges will be made as close as possible to the day of month or year you signed up. In order to not loose access to your subscription, it's important that you keep your billing details up to date and have sufficient funds available at that time.
Will my old Reason songs work in Reason 14?
Yes, regardless of which Reason version your song was made in, it can be opened in Reason 14. When you save the song in Reason, the file can only be opened in that version of Reason (or later).
Do I keep my existing Rack Extensions when I upgrade?
Yes. Your purchased Rack Extensions can always be used in later versions of Reason and will never be removed from your account.
Do I get to keep my Reason license(s) if I get Reason+?
Yes. Any existing license will remain on your account, even if you subscribe to Reason+.
