KGB-G — Kinetic Gate Bouncing Generator
Turn motion into rhythm. KGB-G is a physics-driven CV gate
generator. Four balls fly around an arena, ricocheting off the walls
and off each other — and every impact becomes a control-voltage gate
you can send anywhere in the Reason rack.
Because the balls carry real momentum, trade energy when they collide,
and speed up or drift back over time, the patterns KGB-G produces are
alive — never quite the same twice, always musical, and endlessly
steerable. Nudge a ball’s speed, drop a trip line across the field,
thin the hits with a little chance, or lock the whole thing to your
tempo grid, then patch the gates into drums, synths, envelopes,
Players, or anything CV can trigger.
Best of all, it’s a generative sequencer you can watch: the animated
arena shows exactly where every hit comes from, so building a groove
feels like play instead of menu-diving.
KGB-G makes no sound of its own — it’s a pure CV brain that brings the
devices you already own to life.
